Colouring and pattern paper

Hello crafty friends!

I would like to share with you a card I made using the latest sketch from Retro Sketches

rs174

I had so much fun creating this card! First I created the front panel adhering various stripes of pattern paper I went with the rainbow order 🙂

Then I run in through my die cut machine and added some stitching on top and bottom using Lawn Fawn stitched borders die. Then I trimmed a piece of craft cardstock – actually a Neenah Desert Storm card stock and I stamped the sentiment – hi – from Simon Says Stamp – Music to My Ears set. One of the HI I stamped off on a piece of white cardstock and then adhered it using a foam square on my panel. Finally I added a stitched border using my Signo white gel pen all over the middle panel.

I then coloured in my little boy – Alto – digi stamp from Greeting Farm I got for free by subscribing ot the newsletter.  I coloured the little boy using Pro Markers and for the hair I used Copics combination I used: E35, E25, E29 and E49. I adhered the image on the front panel and lastly I added the Doodlebug twine and created a bow 🙂

Shake the feathers…

Hello!

Today I would like o share with you a card I made using one of the older mini stamp sets by Lawn Fawn – Dreams. I just love it!

I decided  to make a shaker card and use both stamps and dies. I added some sequins inside to make the card super colourful. I used the rainbow colours but mixed them up. At the beginning I did not mean for the card front to be so busy but I just could not stop adding more and more feathers and then colouring them 😉 I first created a rosetta in the middle out of the small feather dies leaving a smal area in the middle for the sentiment.

Here is the shaker card I made using the stamps and the dies.

Xmas in July

As you know I am very much into colouring lately. Here is my latest card I made using the Bugaboo digi stamp. I coloured the hair using Copic Ciao’s and the rest using Pro Markers.

I usually find it challenging to create background for my coloured image and that was the deal this time as well haha I think I came out of this challenge pretty ok 🙂

I really love this image from Bugaboo is called Kidz Reindeer and  I think it’s so sweet!

Ombre stamping with Memento dye inks

Hi guys!

I recently found out how awesome Memento dye inks are! I must admit that I could not find a good use for them after I bought them – they were just such pretty colours I could not resist!

I mostly do stamping where I colour in the images so they were in my drawer for a while. Then I got some awesome stamps from Close to my heart – Tropical paradise set – with surfboards and other solid images and I finally gave my Memento inks a try and I was happily surprised to learn that they create an awesome ombre effect when combined!

Here are cards I made using Bp Bunny – Flutter stamp set or rather one solid stamp of a butterfly 🙂

Here is the video to how these were made and a few words of great ombre stamping:

A little bit of Copic colouring :)

Hello there!

This time I have a slightly different card share for you 🙂

I made this little card for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, shaped card. I used a digi stamp by Greeting Farm that I received as a freebie after I subscribed to their mailing list. The little boy’s name is Alto 🙂

I love their images and I will surely be purchasing more soon, since oh well I got myself a few Copic Ciao’s and what can I say – I love them!! I love how soft the brush it and how wonderfully the colours blend…. Could I please win a lottery? Pretty please? 😀

I would most definitely buy all the Copic markers and other craft supplies and went crazy with creativity! I was recently watching tons of Copic colouring tutorials on you tube one of my favourite ones are by Mika from Crafty Bit, Kristina Werner and for simply just pleasure Sandy Allnock since her colouring is way too advanced for me for now but I just love watching how she creates her wonderful backgrounds and how she plays with shadows *sigh* 🙂

I love watching Kristina’s card videos she has so many wonderful ideas and there are tons of videos I have not yet seen, but this card was definitely inspired by one of them where she made a round xmas card with a little girl.

Lastly Mika from Crafty Bit mostly creates cards where she first colours images using her Copic markers and then puts a card together mixing and matching patter papers.  I love watching both colouring and assembling the card parts, I don’t know how she does it but cards are always so perfectly balanced.

So back to my card. I used a scallop dies to cut out the red card base which was two scallop shaped pieces adhered together. Then I used a round die to cut out a smaller circle out of craft card stock. I coloured the little boy using Copic and Pro Markers since I just started collecting Copics and I bought hair colour combination. I used E35, E25, E29 and E49. I am still practising and I love using Copics it is such a different experience to Pro Markers which do not have a brush tip. I then used Avery Elle stamp set – Cake and Candles for the sentiment that I stamped and heat embossed in Opaque White inside of the card. I also added some stars and confetti on the front of the card for the card to be more festive 🙂
