Through the Craft Room Door inspirational DT card

Hello there!

Another week and another inspirational card for Through the Craft Room Door Design Team! I am so excited and happy to be on their DT!! Such lovely and warm ladies!

Join us for a Anything Goes challenge! – Through the Craft Room Door card challenge

This time I also created a card with florals – I just lovedDeedee’s Style – Bloom and Grow stamp set form and Hibiscus is one of my favourite flowers so I had to create a card with these.

I layered the images in Pages and created a little half border of flowers and coloured them in using my Distress Inks, Stabilo 68 pens and water 🙂

I then printed out the sentiment form the same set and stamped a border around it using Lawn Fawn Bannerific stamp set.

This is how the card turned out! I just love vibrant colours and I would love to go to Hawaii one day and see these gorgeous flowers growing there freely!

Supplies I used:

Deedee’s Style digi stamp set – Bloom & Grow

Distress Inks and Stabilo 68 pens

Lawn Fawn – Bannerific stamp set

Mementio Tuxedo black ink pad

Rainbow shaker card using smooshing technique

Hello crafty friends!

I hope you are having a crafty and sunny day!

This card is for Sister Act card challenge design team inspiration.

This time I would like to share with you a rainbow shaker card that I made using two techniques – stripe die cutting and smooshing.

I really enjoyed trying the new technique – smooshing. I saw it the first time in one of Kristina Werner’s video and I was intrigued. I like how the colours just move their own way and mix together but at the same time you can control them with the paint brush. So much fun! Check out how it is done in the tutorial video I made for this card:

here are the pictures of the card:

Fusion card challenge inspired card

I would like to share with you a card I made inspired by the picture at Fusion card challenge.

Bright Butterfly

I just love these vibrant and warm colours of flowers contrasted with the cold colour of the butterfly.

I stamped the images using the Kaisercraft stamp set – with beautiful florals. I removed the words that were on the petals using cotton ear buds and stamped the images with Versa Fine onyx black ink – perfect for watercolour markers and watercolouring in general. I used Stabilo 68 pens to colour in the florals. These pens blend very well on the watercolour paper and if you ever need to smooth out the blending they also work with water so you can use your brush with water and complete the blending. You have to be really careful though because these pens have a lot of ink and the darker colour can overtake the brighter (like you can see on my purple flower) I wish that turned out better but I still like the bright combination of these flowers.

I had a bit of a struggle with the sentiment because as always with my backgrounds I do not want to cover them 🙂 So here I came up with this little banner in the middle that I tucked under the butterflies. I hope you like how it turned out.

Here is the video showing how I made the card:

Here is the list of supplies I used:

Stabilo 68 pens

Kaisercraft stamp set – flowers

Uniko Studio stamps – Flower Power #2 – sentiment

Bo Bunny – Flutter – butterflies

Card with butterflies using Stabilo pens 68 as watercolour

Hi !

Another card for today, and this time a design inspired by a card created by Julia from JustOneMoreCard blog. She introduced the idea of Stabilo 68 pens and I just love them and use them all the time now!

I decided though to stamp each butterfly using the same colour of ink as I would use later to colour it in. It is very simple technique and very effective one too! I had so much fun colouring these butterflies in! I used 3 different shades of each colour. I used Lawn Fawn – Flutter By stamp set.

Here is my card:

Lawn Fawn card using new release stamp set

Hi there!

Today I want to share with you a card I made using the new release Lawn Fawn set – Let’s BBQ!

I created the background using distress inks and they stamped, coloured and cut out all the needed elements. Aren’t these images just super cute?? I love every single one of them! I like the new smileys too so cute! I created clouds using the tree crown from a different Lawn fawn stamp set by blending ink over it, great technique I love creating my clouds that way!

If you want to see how I made this card please check out my video:

Birthday card with vellum butterflies

Hi there fellow crafters!

Today I made this card using one of my favourite colour combination and some vellum silver butterflies. There were a few challenges where you had to use butterfly so I came up with this idea that have been moving around in my head for a few days.

I layered some double sided tape just like you would in the stripe die cutting technique but I did not die cut anything this time I just love that look where it seems the stripes are fused together 🙂 I then used the newest Lawn Fawn stitched border die on two sides to add interest  I love this cross stitching! I then stamped the sentiment (Avery Elle – Cake and Candles) in Versa Fine an heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.

For the final touch I stamped a few butterflies on vellum in Versa Mark (from the Bo Bunny stamp set – Flutter) and heat embossed them using WOW silver embossing powder, I though that gave them a neat look.

And this is the end result, I hope you like it 🙂

Birthday card with distress ink background

Hi there!

I would like to share with you a card I made using distress inks to make a background. I wanted to incorporate the butterflies in this project somehow as there are many challenges at the moment that want you to include some. I had a few ideas and this here is one of them. I blended distress inks and also created a rainbow effect. I just love how well these inks blend and create different colours. I mainly used 4 colours but then ended up adding a bit of Spiced Marmalade to add more orange.

I stamped and heat embossed my butterflies and fussy cut them leaving a little white border around them and then added them on the front of my card along with the heat embossed sentiment.

Here is the video tutorial for this card I made for my you tube channel:

Here is the list of supplies I used:

Distress Inks: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean and Crushed Olive

Versa Fine – onyx black ink

clear embossing powder – Papermania

Neenah desert storm card stock – card base

Neenah Solar white card stock – card front

Hero Arts stamp set – happy birthday sentiment (cannot remember the name of the set)

Stitched Borders die – Lawn Fawn

Coffee madness :)

Hi there!

Just a quick post, my last minute entry to the

By the way I love this logo image :))) I wish I could be on the beach right now!

So without further ado …

Here are 3 cards I made, mainly because of an error, I filmed the whole thing but it is way too late to edit today so hopefully tomorrow you will be able to see that live and learn process:)

I used Lawn Fawn stamp set Love you a latte and simply went nuts with all the images of coffee haha

I played around with masking, some of it did not turn out right, which you will see on the video and then I corrected it. I wanted one coffee to me up front while others are surrounding it and some are behind. So the card I was going for it the “everything is better with a friends” card. Banner is from “lawn Fawn Bannerific and sentiment from Hero Arts stamp set – friends

The colours on this cards are insanely vibrant – I used Stabilo pens here without water – I do not know what kind of coffee that is but man, sure gives you a kick with those colours haha

IMG_2183 IMG_2185

Second card is the “mistake card” that I covered up with two coffee cups up front 😀

IMG_2186 IMG_2187

And the last one is a last moment idea, where it looks like the coffee cups are buried in the sand on the beach, you can barely see the blue sky, that’s cause I took pictured with a flash :-/ sorry believe me it is there 🙂 kind of simple but fun card I kind of miss something there in the I look at it, but it sure it summery 🙂

I enjoyed making these are I will add the video soon so you can see what you can do and what not to do with masking 😉

Hello there crafty friends!

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for my dad for Father’s day!

In Poland Father’s day is on 23rd June so I had to actually tell my dad to not look at my blog for a few days! I didn’t want to spoil the surprise! I guess I will just send the card earlier – he might as well be happier earlier 🙂

I used the wild west theme because my dad likes westerns. I just loved this image by Milk coffee – Sheriff Bobby, and I though he was perfect for this card. Well yes the card idea came AFTER I saw this image naturally 😉

I came up with an idea of a sunset background but I did not want to add it all over the card so this was the solution. Oval shapes kind of a picture in a black frame or a window you can think of it as you wish, after all he is in the wild west that could be a window just as well!

I did not have any stamps to coordinate with my idea so I hand drown the cactuses and printed out the sentiment using Playbill font. I masked blended distress inks to create the sunset – there is always a nice sunset in the western! Unless you are watching a black and white film in which case you need your imagination OR this card!! 🙂

Anyways I hope you like it I usually struggle with creating cards that use big images, I never know what to do with the background so this idea put a smile on my face! If you are curious how I coloured the image and assembled the card scroll down to the video tutorial!
