As you know I got into colouring with markers lately and I discovered a whole new world of digi stamps 🙂 Endless possibilities!
So for this weeks Sister Act card challenge – Anything goes – I decided to use one of the sponsor’s images.
The sponsor is Art by Miran and the digi stamp is called – Lunar Diety. Check out Miran’s Etsy shopw where she has tons of gorgeous digital images!
The image is super cute and I had so much fun colouring it in! I used my Pro Markers and for the sentiment I went with Mama Elephant – Thinking of you form the stamp set In My Heart. I also added some wink of stella and glossy accents on the stars 🙂
As promised here is another post including more of the balloon cards. The technique I used when making these cards is the striped die cutting technique that I learned from Jennifer McGuire though one of her awesome videos!
I don’t usually like to make the same cards over and over again, so this time I decided to challenge myself to make many cards using – balloons – made with the same technique. I really like this technique! I really do not mind that it takes a lot of patience it actually is a great relaxation technique! 🙂
After I cut out all the balloons ideas came to me like never before. I was very happy with the results. I cannot tell you enough how much I love the look of these balloons, I love stripes! Plus the dimension the layering of card stocks gives – this is a perfect technique!
One of the cards is also my card for this weeks Sister Act card challenge where I am on the Design Team go check it out! Anything Goes challenge every week! 🙂
Here is the video I made showing how I made the cards:
and here are the cards, apart from the die cutting the rest was pretty easy and quick! I will surely be making more of the birthday cards and using tons of other different colours!
I am entering some of the cards in the following challenges:
First of all I made some lines using a ruler and a pencil to know where to add the colours, and then I used post its to mask off areas I wanted white.
I used some Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade – one of my favorite combinations of colours. I then added some flours in contrasting colours green – Mowed Lawn and blue – Salty Ocean. With enamel dots in the middle.
With Easter around the corner I started making Easter cards. I did not want them to be ordinary so I decided to make shaker cards! They so much fun! Making them surely teaches you patience – I cannot remember how many times I had to start again after adhering my foam tape BEFORE the acetate…. haha
Today I have for you also a cardmaking video of these two cards! I hope you will have some time to pop over to my you tube channel and take a look!
If you like it – subscribe – you will make me super happy 😉
I made the cards completely from scratch, including the background. I made that using making tape and distress inks, the same way I made the background for my previous “feel better” card. You can see it better on the video, where I explain everything step by step.
I then made the shakers where I added all kinds of fun stuff like jelly beans, eggs and beads 🙂 All stamped and colours of course 😉
I just realised I forgot to mention which Distress Ink colours I used in the video, you can mostly see or figure out which ones they are but just in case you are wondering:
First card: Mustard Seed, Moved Lawn and Spun Sugar
Second card: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean – some are overlapping creating new colours 🙂
I treated both cards to Wink of Stella and glossy accents – because – never too much!! 🙂
I also used images form Lawn Fawn stamp set – Happy Easter and Inspired by Stamping stamp set Spring Blossoms, which I got using my gift card that I won over at Inspired by Stamping in February – I am still so happy! Thank you!
So here are the finished cards:
*the green on the eggs is the same as the leaves on the tulips but somehow my camera decided otherwise 😉
Here is the video tutorial, just click the image or open my you tube channel 🙂
I will enter the bunny card in the following card challenges:
These are also my cards for Sister Act card challenge as a DT member! Check out our awesome card challenge where every week we have Anything Goes challenge !
Today another card, this time with a die cutting technique that I was playing around with for a while and decided I will make a fall card in January 😉
I blended some distress inks onto the background and then die cut some leaves on another panel which I then adhered using foam tape on top of the blended background.
I used a sentiment from Hero Arts – friend you inspire me to finish off my card.
I hope you like it as much as I do 😉 I cannot resist these fall colours 🙂
This is my inspiration card for Sister Act card challenge where I am one of the design team members – check it out we have a card challenge – Anything goes every week!
Tools and products used:
Distress Inks – Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey
I used die cuts from Lawn Fawn – Stitched Snowflakes – I love these, any products by Lawn Fawn really, their stamps are so funny, great sense of humor!
I simply adhered them flat on the blue card stock background then raised the blue part with foam adhesives and put that against a rich red card stock where I also added some white gel pen lines for that additional stitched look 🙂
I then added sentiment winter wishes that I heat embossed with WoW opaque white embossing powder after I used my embossing buddy to remove all the dirt from the embossed surface and I stamped the sentiment with my Versa Mark embossing ink pad.
I hope you like the red and blue contrast and the stitched card!
I came up with this idea of a vertical card about a month ago just to actually put it together yesterday haha do you get that too? 😉
I love these beautiful baubles from Hero Arts stamp set CL551 Decorate your holiday. I stamped them using my Versa Mark ink pad and then added opaque white embossing powder from WoW. And because I stamped on a green card stock the ornaments looks so cute and it has two colours:) Such gorgeous ornaments form Hero Arts! I added some pearls on the ornaments as well as some twine so that it looks like they are hanging.
Then I stamped the sentiment combining the stamp merry from my old stamp set merry and bright and “xmas: I stamped using my alphabet form Stampendous. I used Memento Tuxedo black for both.
I then made a little frame with my white gel pen to add some white against that juicy red background and that’s that!
