Emboss resist watercolour card + tutorial video!

Hello again!

Today I have for you this beautiful gradient card! I also have the video of how to make one just like it underneath!

I just love the colours and the swirls on this background stamp! I stamped it using Versa Mark and heat embossed with opaque white embossing powder.

I then used my distress inks and water to  colour them  over the embossed area.

I loved the background so much that I decided to just add a little something to not cover it up too much. I cut a stripe of  vellum and stamped a sentiment “love” across it, using silver embossing powder.

I took a picture of the card  around 3pm when the sun was setting you can see it on the top of the card, I think it adds beauty, I love that kind of sun!

Cute cuddly bear love you card

Hi there!

Today I have for you a card with a cute image by Fizzy Moon, a cute bear image.

Lately I tried to do some colouring, I can’t really afford a good set of Copic markers just yet, but I just decide to try with my husband’s coloured pencils by Derwent, he taught me how to do the shading and here is the result 🙂 I really enjoyed using them and I like how the image turned out! I decided to use multiple colours on the hearts, for a variety. I then run the image through my Big Shot and cut it in a shape of a circle then made a little embossed frame too. I used some pattern paper for the background and cut out another, bigger circle to add underneath the bear 🙂

For the sentiment I went with a small Love You from Hero Arts – Friends stamp set. I thought the image and the background was straight forward enough so there was no need for a big sentiment.

I then used some Wink of Stella and glossy accents on the hearts although it is hard to show on the picture…

Hearty Valentine’s day card

Hello !

Today I have for you another card with hearts… It can be a Valentine’s Day card or it can be a card to simply let someone know you think and care about them… OR LOVE that special somebody (with all these hearts it’s a clear message 🙂

I used an embossing folder to create all the hearts and then I blended Distress Inks – Barn Door and Festive Berries on top. In certain places I added also my white gel pen to pop  some areas on the hearts. I like experimenting lately, but oh well sometimes it is frustrating when you have an idea in your head and it just doesn’t come out as you expected haha I must say it is not as easy as it looks to blend the darker colors on the embossed areas without smudging! Originally I wanted to have the background white and just the hearts in red but that turned out to be almost impossible… :-/ I decided to have it all red and I like the look, I like that the hearts have different intensity of red on them, and a red halo around all the hearts.

Butterfly heart

Hello everybody!

Still continuing the Valentine’s card theme, I have for you a CAS card made using one of my favourite dies by Memory Box – Butterfly Heart, with many tiny butterflies that make out a heart. I used 4 different shades of pink and red gradually getting darker towards the top. I then added some Wink of Stella to give them a bit of sparkle and then used one of my stamps from the xmas stamp set to stamp a word love.
