Today I have for you my DT project for Cupcake Inspirations colour challenge #366 and here is the inspirational photo:

I used colours from the image and created this card:
I used Clearly Besotted stamp set – Elegant Butterflies. I stamped them using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my Pro Markers which are alcohol markers. I went according to the colour combination in the challenge photo and I also added some dots around butterflies – I guess I got inspired by Julia from One More Card, I love when she adds dots to her projects! I popped the while panel on some fun foam and die cut it using Memory Box cross stitched frame dies.

Today I would like to share with you a new card making video I made for Happy Little Stampers using their awesome goodies!
For my card I chose the Butterfly Birthday stamp set, I used one of the butterflies, stamped it with Versa Fine black onyx ink and heat embossed it with clear WOW embossing powder. I then coloured the butterflies with Stabilo 68 pens. Check out the process video for the clearer picture 😉

Today I have for you another video for Happy Little Stampers. I created a fun, simple and dimensional card using HLS – Butterfly Birthday stamp set.
I used Stabilo 68 pens to colour in the butterflies which I heat embossed using gold embossing powder by WOW. I love the stained glass look on them as well a the sparkle and shimmer on the card front using the Tsukienko golden spritz.

Happy Little Stampers was created in 2015 by Kylie (owner of ATSM and ATCAS). Kylie wanted to bring out a line of stamps that were useful for every day crafters. From cute to whimsical images, from everyday to funky sentiments there is something for everyone!
Here is my card using sponsor’s stamps. I did some watercolouring and my medium was Stabilo 68 pens for the butterflies colouring and some inexpensive watercolours for the background. You can see the process in the video down below!

Today I would like to share with my card I made as an inspiration for Through the Craft Room Door challenge this week.

I used Limited Runs digi stamp – Mini Butterfly Set no. 2 I coloured the cute butterflies using my Pro Markers and I made a kind of a CAS card this time. Not my strongest type of cards but I hope it turned out fine 😉

Today I made this card using one of my favourite colour combination and some vellum silver butterflies. There were a few challenges where you had to use butterfly so I came up with this idea that have been moving around in my head for a few days.
I layered some double sided tape just like you would in the stripe die cutting technique but I did not die cut anything this time I just love that look where it seems the stripes are fused together 🙂 I then used the newest Lawn Fawn stitched border die on two sides to add interest I love this cross stitching! I then stamped the sentiment (Avery Elle – Cake and Candles) in Versa Fine an heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.
For the final touch I stamped a few butterflies on vellum in Versa Mark (from the Bo Bunny stamp set – Flutter) and heat embossed them using WOW silver embossing powder, I though that gave them a neat look.
And this is the end result, I hope you like it 🙂

As I mentioned in a previous blog post lately I have been following Vicky Papaioannou’s blog. She is crazy creative! You can watch her create journal pages as well as handmade cards.
This is the video of the card that inspired my own project – Butterflies Card.
I had the die cuts of the same shape as Vicky, which for a while now I was planning to use for the card base, I like how she put together two of the cut outs.
I also love butterflies so I used some of my own rubber stamp – I bought this one is Søstrene Grene, for the background I used pearly white card stock from PaperLine. For the top part of the card I used white card stock which I painted with Distress Ink – Wild Honey and Mustard Seed, using my blending tool. I also used some distress inks on my butterflies here I used my daubers to blend in the colours apart from the yellows I used a Barn Door red.
For the antennas for butterflies I used stamens from Wild Orchid Crafts, if you press the name the link leads you directly to the shop and the stamens 🙂 – Very good craft shop by the way, if you are looking for rhinestones, pearl adhesives, flowers and all other kinds of scrapbooking embelishments and elements.
I hand cut the butterflies and attached them to the card with a thick foam adhesive to give it dimension. The background for the butterflies was also embossed with an am bossing folder from Forever Friends by HMK cards, after I used the distress ink to colour the page.
For the sentiment, I stamped it using a pigment ink and then embossed it with a clear embossing powder for a glossy look. I used Barn Door red to colour the sentiment strip and I cut the border with my pattern craft scissors.

I was watching a lot of Gina K. StampTV tutorials – they are simply amazing! They give so much inspiration and fill me with creativity! I was out most of the day, but as soon as I came back and after a few minutes of sketching and figuring out the colour combinations I decided to do a project for a new challenge I saw a few days ago – by Fusion. Finally a challenge with butterflies!! 🙂 I love butterflies, I must post my “old” greeting cards that I made last year, which all had butterflies on them in gradual colour combination and different compositions. I love colours and I always thought, well if you are sending somebody a birthday card, a thank you card or especially a Christmas card it should be happy and colourful. Well after watching some of those tutorials and brilliant card projects I saw some that really blew me away and were not THAT colourful! Some did not even HAD a colour on them – unless you think black is a colour haha (in my colour pallet it was not!) but I really changed my mind. Here is an example of why – StampTV – Season’s Greetings. Amazing example of how you can work with black card stock and some silver embossing powder and make the card wonderful!

I had a lot of fun making this card, I love the whole process, from composing, choosing colours all the way to the stamping, cutting and putting the whole project together!
