MFT Camp Create – shaker card

Hello!

This time I managed to create a shaker card for the Spectacular SHAKERS part of the Camp Create at My Favourite Things blog.

I had fun creating this card. The idea came to me yesterday. I wanted to fill in the bunny’s drum with micro beads and turn it into a shaker. It could have been done two different ways – perhaps one day I will create a video for this card and show them both.

The one here is the technique where the whole front area of the card is raised and the shaker is underneath.I used the same shade of purple behind the drum not I think I should have used a different colour for a contrast. On the other hand it kind of looks as if the drum’s center is simply see-through as he is walking against that colourful background.

For this card I used the MFT stamp set – Strike Up the Band. I blended the background using Distress Inks – Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean. Bunny was coloured with Pro Markers and I stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with WOW opaque white embossing powder.
